IBM embraces Firefox, adopts it internally

A recent change to IBM's internal IT policy has made Firefox the company's default Web browser. The move is a major endorsement of the browser's suitability in large-scale enterprise environments.

- That's pretty harsh Arctic Wolfe. I think learning not to rely on the internet is just as big a step for the younger generation as learning to use technology is for the elder.

- Too bad it's been so cloudy here lately. I randomly caught a very nice look at Venus several months ago without even knowing what I was looking at. I have been slightly obsessed with stargazing ever since.

- Soldiers can not be taking political stances. You must keep the military separate from the political process. While one soldier doing so is largely harmless, imagine if a high ranking general stopped obeying the commander in chief and started doing his own thing. Can you say military coupe?

- Personally, I tend to ignore personal insults in an online discussion. There is no room for that in a logical argument. If I am arguing with somebody, it should be because we have arrived at two different conclusions about a factual claim.

- Most "store brand" items are just repackaged from the same companies that make the "brand names". They use cheaper ingredients, less quality control and less attractive packaging, then sell it at a discount. Very few grocery chains bother to invest in the ability to produce their own products.

- The Patriot Act has not had a huge impact on my, or most people's life. Until it does I don't imagine people will be giving it too much thought. We are a pretty lazy society, really.
